Easter 2018 Events

I love this time of year. Easter equals spring to me even if the weather doesn’t always cooperate. There’s plenty of events happening to celebrate this season of rebirth and renewal. Children are one of the best signs of this season. To help them celebrate this season, there are several events Easter weekend for kids of all ages.

South Charleston Egg Hunt-Mar 31.

This hunt at Joplin Park is only for kids 6 and under. Come bring the young ones to find over 5000 eggs. There’s plenty for everyone. The hunt begins at 1 PM.

St Albans Egg Hunt-Mar 31.

This egg hunt at City Park is for kids to age 12. They’re staggered incrementally so all kids have a chance to find them and the toddlers have as much chance to find eggs as the older children. The hunt is at 11 AM for 3-4 year olds. 11-12 for 5-6 year olds. 7-9 is 12-1230 and 10-12 are 1230-1.

The Redeemer Lutheran Church in Charleston is going one better. They’re having a free pancake breakfast at 830 before the egg hunt. The egg hunt starting at 1030 is split into 2 age brackets to ensure good hunting for everyone. The hunt will be held indoors if it’s raining.

The State Capitol is having an Easter Carnival 11-1 PM. Kids can get a picture with the Easter Bunny. There will also be games, face painting, clowns, craft stations and food. There will also be a drawing for kids bikes at noon. It will be fun for all to celebrate the spring season.
